The late Nat King Cole is, as the title of one of his many hits proclaims, “Unforgettable.” An incredible scoreboard featuring over 100 pop chart singles and in excess of two dozen chart albums is testament to his talent. His warm, rich voice held strong amidst the formidable company of his contemporaries Perry Como, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra. A musician through and through, prior to his highly successful career as a pop singer from the late 40s until his death in 1965, he was a celebrated pianist and vocalist in his own jazz trio. His wonderful collection of truly classic songs ensures his prominent place in the history of pop music.
