Earth, Wind & Fire set the 70s music scene alight with its spectacular blend of funk, rock, blues, pop, disco, soul, jazz, and psychedelia. Founder and songwriter Maurice White and lead singer Philip Bailey created their electrifying sound with the help of an army of accomplished musicians including the Phoenix Horns. The group also pushed the boundaries when it came to their live performances – lavish extravaganzas featuring pyrotechnics, elaborate light shows, and the likes of levitating musicians and disappearing pyramids courtesy of magician Doug Henning.
